Throughout life we experience all kinds of love, but none is stronger then one from a mother to child. That is why this 98-year-old mother has decided to move into a care home to look after her 80-year-old son. Their names are Ada Keating and Tom.

Tom had to move to a residential home in 2016 at the Moss View care home in Liverpool. After only one year his mother decided to move into the same home in order to help look after her eldest child.

Ada said: “I say goodnight to Tom in his room every night and I’ll go and say good morning to him. I’ll tell him I’m coming down for breakfast.”

She continued: “When I go out to the hairdressers he’ll look for me to see when I’m coming back. When I get back he’ll come to me with his arms outstretched and give me a big hug.”

She finished by adding that you never stop being a mom. Tom is more than happy to see his mom every day now that she is living in the same place as him.

Tom said: “She’s very good at looking after me. Sometimes she’ll say ‘Behave yourself!’” She had four kids with her late husband Harry.

Before retirement, Tom was a painter and decorator, while Ada was an auxiliary nurse at the former Mill Road Hospital. Other family members often visit them at the care home.

They say that Tom and Ada are as much happy as they could be since they are now always together.
